Top Ten Biking Blogs of 2011

Share

Outside Magazine’s Aaron Gulley published his list of the top biking blogs of the past year. If you’re into reading biking blogs (quick guess, you are cause you’re on one right now), this is a great list to add to your Google Reader or subscription list. Just a note, Gulley’s list is entirely subjective. It’s not necessarily based on internet rankings but rather his personal favorites. That being said, there aren’t any unknowns or surprises on the list as each blog boasts significant readership and traffic.

10. Rapha Blog
9. Bike Snob NYC (Tie)
9. Boulder Report (Tie)
8. Vital MTB
7. The Inner Ring
6. BikeHacks
5. Fat Cyclist
4. Bangable Dudes in Pro Cycling
3. Rouleur Magazine Blog
2. Adventure Journal
1. Red Kite Prayer

Click HERE to read the full article at Outside Magazine. It’s worth it just to read the comments and submissions by people who believe their favorite blog was left off the list.

I need to include a few that didn’t make Gulley’s list. Some of these are personal favs, others you should know about simply because they’re rated as top biking blogs according to traffic statistics as compiled by Technorati (the internet standard for blog traffic rankings).  Here they are:

  1. Cyclelicious
  2. Velominati
  3. Le Metier
  4. Bike Hugger
  5. Biking in LA
  6. Cycling Tips
  7. Missing Saddle
  8. The London Cyclist
  9. Joe to Pro Cycling
  10. Bike Shop Girl
  11. Bianchista
  12. Cozy Beehive
  13. Flahute
  14. Rules of the Amateur UnPro Cyclist
  15. The Slow Bicycle Movement

Whew! That’s all for now. Plenty of reading to do over the holidays. So many great biking blogs out there. Enjoy!
