I was descending a popular climb in Los Altos a few weeks back and came across this sign. I thought to myself, “This must be the most enlightened, bike friendly community in the world. Thanks for making me aware of the possibility of an endo ahead.” A few days later, I rode through again and the sign had been replaced with a more standard, “Watch for cyclists.” Oh well. I’m assuming it was a prank but someone went to a lot of trouble to manufacture a real road sign and then install it. Cyclists are a creative and treacherous breed.
